Towards the end of 2019, taking inspiration from several previous tours we did around various places surrounding Lake Garda, I thought it might be a good idea to try and connect the dots, defining a path divided in stages that would cover the entire tour of the Lake.

This stage of the Great Tour of Garda begins in Riva del Garda and arrives in Limone sul Garda, initially covering the old and characteristic Ponale road, which years ago gave access to the Val di Ledro, and is now closed to traffic.

Another splendid stage of the Great Tour of Garda, which starts from Limone sul Garda, to reach Campione del Garda.

This fascinating stage of the Great Tour of Garda, extremely varied from a landscape point of view, starts in Campione del Garda and ends in Gargnano.

This is an extremely pleasant and varied stage of the Great Tour of Garda, which keeps away from traffic, and goes through villages, woods, countryside, dotted with churches and sanctuaries.

Another very beautiful stage of the Great Tour of Garda, from the landscape point of view, slightly longer than the previous ones, but with a modest altitude.

This stage of the Great Tour of Garda runs along the southernmost shore of the lake, from Desenzano to Peschiera.

This beautiful stage of the Great Tour of Garda takes place largely on lakeside promenades, at least up to Garda and a little further.

This beautiful stage of the Great Tour of Garda goes in gentle ups and downs along the first slopes of Monte Baldo, among woods, olive groves and enchanting small villages and hamlets, with continuous glimpses and panoramas of rare beauty on the lake and its surroundings.

Even in this last stage, the Great Tour of Garda does not fail to impress positively.
