and sport climbing routes

Falesia di Taibon Agordino

We speak of climbing when the use of the hands becomes necessary for progression.

Unlike a via ferrata, there are no aids such as cords or other. In the case of sport climbing, there are already fixed, at close range, nails or rings useful for protection and descent.

It requires the use of specific equipment, such as ropes and quickdraws, and little else.

The degrees of difficulty can vary greatly, and consequently the skill and strength needed for progression. The most used difficulty scale in our area is the French one.

In a crag, typically, the routes are of just one pitch, but in some sites you can find routes of multiple pitches.

On trekking-etc there are several dozen places of this type documented.
